Washington Capitals legend Alexander Ovechkin scored his 900th career goal on Wednesday during the team's matchup against the St. Louis Blues!

Ovechkin became the only NHL player in history to reach the 900-goal mark after he sent one past Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington during the second period.

The Gr8 One has now scored three goals and recorded five assists so far this season.

Ovi is coming off a season where he broke the all-time goals record with No. 895, previously held by NHL legend and icon Wayne Gretzky

The future Hall of Famer also holds the record for most overtime goals (24) and power play goals (326) - cementing himself as the greatest goal scorer in hockey history.

Ovi will continue to move up the leaderboards this season as he also now needs just 11 more points to surpass the great Joe Sakic and move up to No. 10 on the all-time leaderboard.

Despite the 40-year-old fracturing his leg last season, Ovi continues to play as if it were just a scratch. He's done just about everything a hockey player could accomplish in his career.

He's a three-time MVP, three-time Ted Lindsay Award winner (most outstanding player), nine-time Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy winner (top goal scorer), 12-time All-Star, the 2007-2008 Art Ross winner (most points), and won the Mark Messier Award (outstanding leadership) from this past season.

And, most of all, he's a Stanley Cup champion and Conn Smythe Trophy award winner (Stanley Cup Playoffs MVP).

The Capitals are off to a 6-5-1 start to the season.

They'll be on the road following their home game against St. Louis as they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins on November 6th.
