The New England Patriots announced on Saturday that the team will be without star defensive tackle Milton Williams for multiple weeks due to a high ankle sprain.

Williams sustained the injury during the team's Thursday night 27-14 win over the New York Jets after playing in just eight total snaps.

He's expected to return anytime between the December 21st matchup against the Ravens and the start of the playoffs.

The 26-year-old has recorded 27 tackles, eight quarterback hits, eight stuffs, 3.5 sacks, and one pass deflection.

He signed a four-year, $104 million deal during the offseason after spending the first four years of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, missing just one game.
