Here's a snapshot of how your club manager felt about their respective results at the weekend.

Macarthur FC 3-2 Newcastle Jets

Mile Sterjovski (Macarthur FC):

"I feel like we've beaten the top-two teams in the last couple of games and it has given us a big confidence boost for sure. The back-to-back wins comes at a great time with four games to go. If we can keep this momentum going, I think we definitely will make the finals. But we still have a lot of work to do with three difficult games. It's not going to be easy but I'm happy with their performance and they deserved to get the win tonight. I believe highly in this squad and, despite having a bit of inconsistency in the season, I feel the four losses in a row made us have a good, hard look at ourselves."

Mark Milligan (Newcastle Jets):

"Disappointed with the result. We had stages where we were in control of the game. We knew their threats, that they would be quite direct, have runners off (Mitch) Duke, and look, they've got quality. When you fail to capitalise on the moments when you do get control and keep control, it becomes a bit of a lottery. We probably could have dealt with a couple of moments better than we did. When you're having to chase against a very experienced side like that, it becomes very difficult."

Brisbane Roar 0-0 Sydney FC

Michael Valkanis (Brisbane Roar):

"I don't know whether to laugh or cry (about not being able to score). It summed up how our season has been. We had enough chances to take away the three points. There were some really good saves but also some opportunities where we really needed to hit the back of the net. Overall, the boys really pushed, the gameplan worked well, and I think we saw a little bit of the early season Brisbane today with their intensity and pressing. We put Sydney under a lot of pressure, but in the end it's very clear we had to put the ball in the back of the net. We were in good control with and without the ball. I think we deserved the three points, sadly."

Patrick Kisnorbo (Sydney FC):

"I think it was a tough game. We had a couple of good moments that we have worked on in training. In some areas I think we were a bit sloppy, but Brisbane is a hard place to come to. To come here without conceding a goal is a good point. We need to keep trying to improve and working hard. It wasn't sloppy in terms of things we were trying to change. We lost the ball too many times in my opinion, and we gave sloppy passes away. That's more of a concentration sort of aspect. I'm proud of the players, especially given what they've had to endure in the last week with everything up in the air. They've given me everything."

Adelaide United 1-1 Auckland FC

Airton Andrioli (Adelaide United):

"If you look at the number of chances we had, especially towards the end of the game, we should have won it. I'm happy with the performance of the team but disappointed with not getting the three points tonight. We could have been a bit more clinical in the final third tonight, but it was a step in the right direction. Our boys matched the most physical side in the league for every moment of the game. They played the football we wanted to play and I'm proud of the boys for that reason. If we took some of our half-chances and were a bit more clinical with the final passes, we would have got the result and it would have been the right team winning the game."

Steve Corica (Auckland FC):

"I thought it was a good game to watch. End-to-end football, quite aggressive as well. It's what you expect from an important game like this. It's a difficult place to come. We're one point closer to Newcastle after their loss last night. In the end, I suppose it's not too bad for us. Our goal difference is probably a little bit better than Newcastle's and all these details come into it at the end of the season. Every game is like a finals game for us from here on until we get knocked out or we win something."

Central Coast Mariners 2-2 Perth Glory

Warren Moon (Central Coast Mariners):

"A point is still better than where we were at 20 minutes into the match, so to come back and take something from the game is pleasing. Truth be told, I was really disappointed with our first 20-25 minutes. The levels were well below where we expect and we were really lucky to still be in the game. But I'm proud of the resilience and character, and we probably could have even gone on to win the game based on our second half. We'll take the positives. There's no pressure on us. We've worked hard to get into this position and we're not going to feel the nerves. There are sides who are much more fancied than us that want to make that six."

Adam Griffiths (Perth Glory):

"There were some really positive moments, but in the end we were not good enough. We had plenty of chances throughout the entirety of the game to get that extra goal that we needed. We were in this position because we lacked a little bit of composure and smarts in the critical moments, both defensively and in attack. A lot was going through my head, so it's hard to really take it all in. We just needed to get some composure and leadership to get on the ball and demonstrate how we do it. That builds confidence and understanding of the game but we let ourselves fall."

Melbourne City 3-0 Western Sydney Wanderers

Aurelio Vidmar (Melbourne City):

"I didn't draw up the first 15 minutes with all the transition moments that were killing us! I'm very pleased. It was a nice win with a clean sheet that should give us a lot of confidence. It was always going to be a tough game. They are very quick in the transition moments and we didn't really handle that well. They probably should have scored as well to be honest. Once we scored, we settled and for the first time in a long time we got that all-important second goal. That's what has been hurting us, not being able to get that second goal to really calm us down. Our entry into the front third and into the box was a lot quicker than normal."

Gary van Egmond (Western Sydney Wanderers):

"When you look at the beginning of the game, we started well and had two or three really good chances, then it goes down the end and we don't defend it as well as we should have. I think both boxes were the areas in which we were less than what they were. (The changes) were all based on injuries, and the news came pretty late in the piece, but it gave opportunities for some of the younger players which I think is great. It's well known that we need to have an overhaul. The football landscape needs a strong Western Sydney Wanderers. We're in a really rich vein of football territory."

Melbourne Victory 0-1 Wellington Phoenix

Arthur Diles (Melbourne Victory):

"It was not good enough. I didn't see that one coming and definitely not the performance we expect or worked towards. That's something we'll have to address during the week. There were no indications leading into this match that we would start or play the match (so flat). We were stretched at times defensively and weren't good enough with the ball. There were cheap turnovers and it just wasn't us. That first half was probably our worst half of football of the year. Wellington were worthy winners today and that was especially disappointing."

Chris Greenacre (Wellington Phoenix):

"I was delighted with the way that we played. You have to be brave to come here and play. It's a really intimidating place to play. In the first half we really put our foot on the ball and dominated with the way we wanted to play. Melbourne came into it in the second half a bit more but I was delighted that we created the bigger moments of the game. I think (the late goal) is what we deserved if I'm honest. We have said from word go that while finals are mathematically possible, we're going to give it everything. Nobody is going to do us any favours and it's down to us to dig in and really put on a show and we did that tonight."
