At club level, Eriksen has extensive experience in major European competitions: 310 appearances in the Premier League (55 goals, 81 assists), plus 43 games in Serie A and 53 in the Champions League. He spent most of his career at Tottenham Hotspur (2013-2020), before stints at Inter Milan, Brentford FC, and Manchester United followed. He began his professional career at Ajax Amsterdam in the 2009/2010 season.
Christian Eriksen is thrilled that the transfer is now complete and says:

I immediately sensed that coach Paul Simonis had a clear idea for the team and also for me. The fact that there are many faces I know from the Danish national team in the squad makes VfL particularly attractive to me," said Eriksen.
Wolfsburg already has Andreas Skov Olsen, Jonas Wind, Adam Daghim, Jesper Lindstrom, and Joachim Maehle in the squad.
