GK: Maarten Paes (Ajax) - 7.8
Maarten Paes joined Ajax in January from FC Dallas as the back-up to Vitezslav Jaros, but when the Liverpool loanee suffered a season-ending knee injury in training on Friday, Paes was suddenly promoted to first-choice goalkeeper.
In a tricky outing against third-placed NEC, the Indonesian international stood up when it mattered with some excellent saves, including one on a header from Ajax loanee Ahmetcan Kaplan in injury time - one of his 7 saves of Saturday evening.
DEF: Neraysho Kasanwirjo (Fortuna Sittard) - 8.1
Kasanwirjo enjoyed little playing time at Rangers and Molde in the last year, but has really come into his own at Fortuna Sittard. On Friday, the centre-half played his best game for the Limburg outfit by winning all of his 9 duels, winning 1 tackle, completing 54 of 63 passes and creating 3 chances in Fortuna's second win of 2026.
DEF: Alexandre Penetra (AZ) - 7.8
It's been a roller coaster couple of months for AZ, who've only won two consecutive games once since November. Their 3-1 win over Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday should be the start of a crucial two-game winning streak, however.
Portuguese defender Alexandre Penetra was pivotal in Sunday's win with three won tackles, 12 clearances, and 8/10 won duels. It's paramount for AZ to keep Sunday's groove for Thursday's season-defining UEFA Conference League game against FC Noah.
DEF: Mateo Chavez (AZ) - 8.5
Next to Penetra, Mexican left-back Mateo Chavez played a big part in AZ's victory by assisting Sven Mijnans' 1-0, but also winning three tackles, recording two interceptions, and winning 7 of 9 duels in another excellent outing.
MID: Jakob Breum (Go Ahead Eagles) - 8.2
Reigning KNVB Beker winners Go Ahead Eagles were in an extremely tough fight against relegation after not winning a single Eredivisie game since November, but the tide was turned on Sunday with a commanding 4-0 home win over bottom feeders Heracles Almelo.
Danish starlet Jakob Breum was pivotal in their win with one goal, one created chance, 17/20 completed passes in the final third, 6/7 duels won, and two won tackles - an all-around great performance for the attacking force.
MID: Darko Nejasmic (NEC) - 8.2
Croatian midfield star Darko Nejasmic is mostly known as a defensive-minded player, and he showed that side of himself in the away game at Ajax - Nejasmic recorded 3 won tackles and 2 interceptions, while also winning 7 of 9 duels and gaining possession 5 times.
However, without Nejasmic, NEC wouldn't have grabbed a point in Amsterdam. The midfielder scored NEC's only goal on Saturday, surprisingly beating Maarten Paes whilst lying on the ground in a crowded penalty area.
MID: Melle Meulensteen (Go Ahead Eagles) - 8.8
Melle Meulensteen got it done on both sides of the ball in the Eagles' big win. The midfielder was a defensive rock with one won tackle, two interceptions and four clearances, but was also a force going forward with one goal, one assist, and one successful dribble. His 7/11 won duels are also a big plus.
MID: Ismael Saibari (PSV) - 7.9
PSV returned to winning ways against Heerenveen after losing to promoted outfit FC Volendam the week before. As always, midfield star Ismael Saibari was a driving force in PSV's win, creating a dizzying amount of eight chances against the Frisians. The Moroccan midfielder won 7 of 13 duels and completed 45 of 50 passes as well, contributing massively to PSV's 3-1 win.
MID: Ivan Perisic (PSV) - 8.3
PSV's luck wasn't bringing them anything until Ivan Perisic broke the Eindhoven side's deadlock right before halftime, when the former World Cup finalist's cross suddenly bounced into Bernt Klaverboer's goal to put PSV alongside Heerenveen.
Perisic spent most of the game being frustrated, but drove PSV to three points with his two successful dribbles, 7 won duels, 2 created chances, and 2 won tackles.
FW: Anis Hadj Moussa (Feyenoord) - 8.4
Feyenoord once again had trouble finishing off a game, missing chance after chance and falling behind after Jochem Ritmeester van de Kamp opened the scoring for Telstar in the 14th minute. But up stepped Anis Hadj Moussa, who turned Feyenoord's tide before halftime.
The Algerian maverick had some luck with Ronald Koeman's terribly poor attempt at saving his first shot, which the goalkeeper tapped into his own goal, but made his own luck by scoring the 2-1 in the 39th minute with a cross-body shot in the bottom corner.
FW: Jordan Bos (Feyenoord) - 9.1 (Player of the Week)
The Aussie has been an offensive force for Feyenoord this season, but the attentive reader notices that Jordan Bos is included in our Team of the Week as a forward. The left-back started as a left winger in Van Persie's side on Sunday and delivered by creating three chances and assisting both of Hadj Moussa's goals.
Bos completed both of his attempted dribbles and led Feyenoord with 6 touches in the opposition's box, all in one half! Truly worthy of our Player of the Week award.
