While FCK suffered their first defeat of the season, Jakob Poulsen got his first win as AGF coach. It happened in front of 28,812 spectators in a very entertaining match.
FC Copenhagen coach Jacob Neestrup had rotated the starting lineup compared to Tuesday's 0-0 away match against Malmö FF in the Champions League qualifiers.
Thomas Delaney, Mohamed Elyounoussi and Elias Achouri were on the bench from the start against AGF.
AGF took the lead already after ten minutes when a shot on goal was steered into the net by Patrick Mortensen.
The 36-year-old striker thus got revenge for his missed penalties against Randers FC and FC Midtjylland. Patrick Mortensen was extremely close to being offside, but after a long VAR check the goal was allowed.
Shortly afterwards, FCK's Jordan Larsson was put clean through, but 40-year-old Jesper Hansen made one of several great saves in the first half.
The home side seemed a bit sluggish in this period and were not able to put enough pressure on the visitors. This changed as the half drew to a close and FC Copenhagen also dominated from the start of the second half.

But against the run of play, AGF doubled their lead when FC Copenhagen diverted a cross into the path of Tobias Bech who scored from close range.
Referee Mikkel Redder initially disallowed the goal, but then went out and watched the sequence on TV himself and followingly changed his decision.
Thomas Delaney, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Elias Achouri and Andreas Cornelius then was substituted on to the field but it didn't help much, and after 74 minutes Gift Links curled a free kick from the right side into the net.
But Jordan Larsson quickly gave the home side a lifeline when he launched a long-range stinging drive to give Jacob Neestrup's side hope again.
It wasn't over, and after 83 minutes Magnus Mattson converted a penalty to bring the Parken faithful on to their feet.
In the frantic finish, Elias Achouri was injured, so the home side had to finish the game with ten players and couldn't prevent the visitors from recording their first win of the season.
In the other match of the evening in the Danish Superliga Viborg climbed to fourth spot in the league as they recorded their second successive win as they defeated Sonderjyske 1-0 at home.
