We've reached the last-16 stage at Indian Wells, as several of the world's best ATP and WTA players look to secure a quarter-final berth at the prestigious Masters 1000 event.

06:00 CET - Linda Noskova made quick work of her matchup against Alexandra Eala, defeating her in straight sets 6-2, 6-0, in just 56 minutes, with the second set being wrapped up in 24.

Noskova dominated on all fronts, putting up seven aces to Eala's zero, converting five of eight possible break points, while Eala missed on her lone opportunity.

04:35 CET - Sinner takes the straight sets victory of Fonseca after winning in back-to-back tiebreaks 7(8)-6(6), 7(7)-6(4)

Fonseca actually took a 6-3 lead in the second tiebreak, but Sinner battled back yet again, just like he did in the first, winning five straight games to take the set and advance to his third Indian Wells quarter-finals.

He'll take on Learner Tien, who defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina earlier in the day.

03:55 CET - Mboko would make quick work of Anisimova in the second set, taking her down in just 27 minutes to win in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.

Four of her five aces came during the second set, as did three of her four break points for the match.

She'll now advance to her first-ever quarter-finals at Indian Wells, where the world's No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka awaits her.

03:15 CET - In a pair of first sets, over in the women's draw, Victoria Mboko took the first 6-4 from Amanda Anisimova, while in the men's, after being down 5-2 during the tiebreak to Joao Fonseca, Jannik Sinner showed the world why he's one of the best as he came back to take it 7(8)-6(6)

Once Fonseca went up 6-3 in the tiebreak, Sinner won on back-to-back serves and then forced Fonseca to lose on both of his following serves to make it 7-6 before winning the set.

01:50 CET - After an intense third set that went into a back-and-forth tiebreak, Tien emerged victorious over Davidovich Fokina 4-6, 6-1, 7(7)-6(4)

Tien (20) saved two match points to become the youngest American ATP 1000 Masters quarter-finalist since Sam Queerrey (19) at Cincinnati in 2007.

00:35 CET - Despite Learner Tien going up 4-3 in the first set, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina fought back and won three straight games to take the first set 6-4

But Tien wouldn't be denied as he straight-up dominated in the second set with 11 winners to Fokina's three, while going two-for-two in break points converted.

With the third set underway, Tien is already dazzling in front of the fans.

23:29 CET - The seventh seed is out! In a big upset, Jasmine Paolini has lost 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 to world number one Talia Gibson of Australia.

The young Aussie richly deserved what has to be the biggest win of her career, with the 21-year-old facing just six break points and taking eight of the 13 on the Italian's serve, and hitting 18 winners in the third set alone.

As a result, she's made the last eight in her first-ever WTA 1000 tournament. What an achievement.

22:44 CET - Job done for Zverev, who has seen things out to beat Tiafoe 6-3, 6-4 and make the quarter-finals of Indian Wells for the third time.

It was more of the same in the second set, with the fourth seed not dominating but doing enough, serving well and converting the only break point he had.

He's never gone beyond the last eight here before, and will have to beat Fils next if he wants to change that.

21:56 CET - Alexander Zverev and Frances Tiafoe are the next men out to secure a place in the last eight, and the German is looking more likely to, with him winning the first set 6-3 in 42 minutes.

There wasn't much to choose between the two, but Zverev broke Tiafoe's serve at 3-2 and that was enough.

21:04 CET - Fils has made the last eight after winning an absolutely thrilling second-set tiebreak!

Auger-Aliassime had fought back from 4-2 down after winning three games in a row and then held five set points in the tiebreak, but Fils kept his cool to win it 11-9.

With this run coming after he made the final in Doha, the young Frenchman is really finding form again after his injury issues and looking like one of the best talents around.

20:33 CET - World number Sabalenka has seen off Osaka to move into the quarter-finals, beating the Japanese player 6-2, 6-4 in one hour and 20 minutes to advance.

It was a rock-solid performance from last year's finalist, who faced just two break points, got 75% of her first serves in and won 76% of the points in which she did.

That's the first time Sabalenka has claimed a competitive win over Osaka.

19:55 CET - Aryna Sabalenka and Arthur Fils are a set to the good in their last-16 matches against Naomi Osaka and Felix Auger-Aliassime, respectively.

The Belarusian top seed didn't face a single break point in a dominant first set (6-2), while Fils won a mightily impressive 93% of points behind his first serve against Auger-Aliassime.

17:00 CET - Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of Tuesday's tennis at Indian Wells, as the last 16 gets underway in California!

We've got eight matches to look forward to today, and the action kicks off with a heavyweight tussle on the women's side of the draw, with world number one Aryna Sabalenka taking on four-time major champion Naomi Osaka at 19:00 CET.

Remarkably, it's only the second time the two players have met, with their only previous meeting coming all the way back in 2018, when Osaka beat Sabalenka in three sets en route to winning the US Open.

Elsewhere on the women's draw, Amanda Anisimova comes up against Canadian sensation Victoria Mboko in a fascinating clash in the night session at 02:00 CET, while seventh seed Jasmine Paolini takes on Talia Gibson, and Linda Noskova faces Alexandra Eala.

Moving over to the men's side of the tournament, the standout clash comes in the night session when world number two Jannik Sinner comes up against Brazilian teenager Joao Fonseca in what is a first-ever meeting between the two players.

Before that mouthwatering clash, Felix Auger-Aliassime takes on the resurgent Arthur Fils at 19:00 CET, while fourth seed Alexander Zverev faces Frances Tiafoe, and rising star Learner Tien looks to get past Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
