Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, Fabian Marozsan (25) stunned top seed Andrey Rublev (27), with the Hungarian coming out on top 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 in exactly two hours.
12:57 CET - Iga Swiatek (23) bounced back from losing the opening set to outlast Katie Boulter (28) 6-7(4), 6-1, 6-4 in Sydney, giving Poland an unassailable 2-0 lead in their United Cup quarter-final tie against Great Britain.
11:13 CET - Top seed Novak Djokovic (37) has progressed in Brisbane, sweeping aside Gael Monfils (38) in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. The Serb will face Reilly Opelka (27) in tomorrow's quarter-finals.
09:50 CET - Ons Jabeur (30) is through to the quarter-finals in Brisbane after recovering from a poor second set to complete a morale-boosting 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 win against Elina Avanesyan (22).
Meanwhile, at the United Cup, Hubert Hurkacz (27) has given Poland a 1-0 lead against Great Britain after a hard-fought 7-6(3), 7-5 victory over Billy Harris (29).
08:45 CET - Top seed Madison Keys (29) moved into the Auckland quarter-finals overnight after a routine 6-1, 6-2 victory over Romania's Jaqueline Cristian (26).

08:18 CET - There was plenty of tennis overnight in Brisbane, with talented Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (21) defeating fourth seed Frances Tiafoe (26) 6-4, 7-6(4) and Jakub Mensik (19) easing past Dusan Lajovic (34) 6-3, 6-2.
On the women's side of the draw, Mirra Andreeva (17) was in ruthless form against fellow emerging star Linda Noskova (20), winning 6-3, 6-0, while third seed Daria Kasatkina (27) was dumped out, losing 6-1, 2-6, 5-7 to Polina Kudermetova (21).
