We are now at the midpoint of the UEFA Champions League's second edition of the league phase. There were some dramatic matches on Tuesday and Wednesday, providing some fascinating results. Here is one stat from each game.

Gunners keep run going as Bayern win big clash

11 - The impressive run continues for Arsenal, who beat Slavia Praha 3-0 on the road. Mikel Merino's second half double played a role in the Gunners' success, as they make it four wins from four. They are also the only team left not to have conceded. Meanwhile, they have scored 11 times in this season's league phase so far. Moreover, they remain unbeaten versus Czech sides from 11 matches all-time (9-2-0).

30 - Neither Napoli nor Eintracht Frankfurt managed to find the back of the net in their goalless contest in Naples. Despite outshooting their guests 18-7, the Partenopei could not find a way through in a result that seldom helps either team. The 0-0 draw ends a streak of 30 European games for Frankfurt where at least one goal was scored, the last one coming three years ago.

22 - Tottenham had a complete performance in their tie, beating FC Kobenhavn 4-0. Despite playing most of the second half down a man, Spurs struck twice in three minutes to complete an excellent showing. The Danes created several chances, but could not find a breakthrough. For the North Londoners, they are 22 unbeaten at home in UEFA club competition play (18-4-0), excluding a forfeit from a few years ago.

14 - In one of Tuesday night's blockbuster ties, Bayern Munich managed to edge holder Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the French capital. Luiz Diaz scored both goals for the Bavarians, only to get sent off as well as Vincent Kompany's men held firm for the win. They are top of the league phase at the midway point, having scored 14 times - more than anyone else.

2 - Olympiakos Piraeus were on the precipice of earning a huge win. Instead, they were pegged back in the 93rd minute in a 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven. The Dutch giants were left the happier of the two teams, as they are now three games without defeat in the league phase. Curiously, it was just the second time that PSV drew a European tie versus Greek opposition (10-2-5).

4 - Alexis MacAllister was the hero for Liverpool as the Argentinian's header just past the hour mark made the difference in the Reds' 1-0 defeat of Real Madrid. It is the second season in a row where Arne Slot's men beat the record winners in the league phase. In fact, Real are without a win each of their last four group phase games versus English teams, losing three of those matches.

5 - Juventus and Sporting CP are unable to find a winner in their tie, with the sides playing to a 1-1 stalemate in Turin. A pair of first half goals saw both teams settle for a point. In fact, Sporting's goal came from their lone shot on target in the match. Their struggles on the road in Europe continue though, as they are now five matches without victory.

15 - Folarin Balogun's goal just before half-time saw AS Monaco claimed their maiden win of the league phase with a 1-0 defeat of Bodo/GlimtLes Monegasques now jump into the top 24 despite the fact they have scored just four times thus far. That was the 15th time that Monaco won a European away game while keeping a clean sheet, winning by the same score at Bologna last term.

91 - Atletico Madrid find their way past Union Saint-Gilloise, earning a 3-1 victory to get back to winning ways. Los Colchoneros once again bounce back from an away defeat by getting the job done in front of their fans. With that result, Atleti have now won 91 matches in the European Cup/Champions League all-time, the third-most of any Spanish team.

Inter stay perfect, Barcelona held in Belgium

8 - Perhaps the most stunning result of the round came in Cyprus, where debutants Paphos pulled off a 1-0 victory over Villarreal. Derrick Luckassen found the breakthrough less than a minute into the second half to give the Cypriot champions an unthinkable win. They have now kept eight home clean sheets in UEFA club competition, despite this being just their second campaign.

23 - Qarabag also kept up their strong showings as they earned a 2-2 draw against last season's Conference League winners Chelsea. Both clubs had the lead at some point in the match, but in the end, the Azeri side earned an unlikely point as they avoided defeat versus an English team for the first time. Across those eight clashes though, they have conceded 23 times.

7 - A Victor Osimhen hat-trick sent Galatasaray on their way as they cruised to a 3-0 win at Ajax. The Turkish side have now won their last three in the UCL, putting them in a great position to advance. Meanwhile, it was a bruising result for the four-time European champions, who have now lost seven continental games on the spin, a first for the club.

21 - Bayer Leverkusen recovered from their heavy defeat two weeks ago by adding more pain to Benfica's UCL run. Die Werkself scored a 1-0 success thanks to Patrik Schick's winner midway through the second half. The Portuguese side sit second from the bottom on goal difference. They could not find the back of the net despite amassing 21 shots in the game.

3 - Club Brugge and Barcelona went back-and-forth in a brilliant encounter which saw the Catalans come from a goal down thrice. When the dust settled, the sides walked away with a point after the 3-3 draw. The three goals scored by Blauw-Zwart were the most they have ever scored in a European match against Spanish opposition in what was their 31st such game.

10 - Inter Milan lost their clean sheet streak on Wednesday, but still came away with a 2-1 result against Kazakhstan's Kairat. Carlos Augusto grabbed the Nerazzurri's winner 12 minutes after the visitors drew level. Kairat's struggles on the road continue, as they have now hit 10 continental games on their travels without a win (0-3-7).

24 - Manchester City produced another solid performance to get the better of Borussia Dortmund 4-1 at home. A Phil Foden double sent the Cityzens to their third win in four UCL games thus far. Dortmund's games have been quite the entertainment in this season's competition. There have been a combined 24 goals in the four matches involving Die Schwarzgelben (13 goals for, 11 against).

12 - A late goal from Lazar Samardzic lifted Atalanta to an important 1-0 defeat of Olympique Marseille on the road. The Bergamaschi missed a penalty in the first half before having a goal called back for offside. Still, they rallied late on to get their second win of the league phase. They also inflicted Marseille's 12th reverse to sides from Italy.

6 - Athletic Club's struggles on the road continue, as they fell 2-0 at St. James Park to Newcastle. A goal in each half did the trick for the Magpies as they kept a third straight clean sheet in the Champions League this term. The Basque side are on a six-game winless run away from home in UEFA club competition action.
